Finishing: How to care for your tattoo

Leave the bandage on your new tattoo for a minimum of 2 hours, but a maximum of 24 hours.
Remove all clotted blood as well as remnants of ointment.
Wash with soap and water.
Do not scrub or scratch the tattoo.
Apply a thin layer of ointment. Avoid further use of bandage.
Wash the tattoo at least twice a day for 10-14 days. Apply a thin layer of ointment after each wash - you may want to apply the ointment an additional 3-5 times daily in a thin layer. Always wash your hands before touching your new tattoo.
Never use an ointment other than the one you have been instructed by Tattoo Ole.
Avoid exposing the tattoo to direct sunlight for the first 3 months.
Avoid water that contains bleach, steam baths and sauna in the first month.
